The People

The truth about the Swiss. Where do we even start?
Our experience is that the Swiss are extremely helpful and go out of their way to help a visitor..
Barbara and her mother Leandra (left) even took a virtual stranger to see the sun shines through the Martin's Hole directly onto the Church of Elm in the Canton Glarus.
I didn't speak Swiss German. Barbara could speak English, but her Mom wasn't comfortable with it. It didn't matter. They took care of me and were extremely kind with their time.

And we got to see this! The fall spectacular view of the sun shining through the hole in the mountain right to the tip of Elm's church bell tower.
The Swiss:
Yes their trains run on time. They speak at least 2 if not 3 or 4 languages.

Swiss Customs

Games are different yet the same.
Events are held celebrating city life as well as rural life.
In New Glarus, WI you can still find an old Swiss card game. Do you know it?
What about Hornussen?
We have some insight.
