Figures published by the Federal Statistical Office in Switzerland show 29,424 Swiss nationals emigrated each year between 2011 and 2013. 


The 10 top  destinations for emigrants were France, Germany, the United States, the  United Kingdom, Italy, Thailand, Spain, Canada, Brazil and Australia.  


The Organization of the Swiss Abroad (OSA) represents the interests of  Swiss nationals living abroad. Founded in 1916, OSA is recognized by the  authorities as the representative organ of the Fifth Switzerland.
